Ethos
Hatha translates as ‘ha’ sun and ‘tha’ moon, so hatha yoga is about balance. The practice of hatha yoga brings health and energy to the body and brings calm to the mind. In hatha yoga the main focus is on postures (asana) and breath control (pranayama). The practice opens up and stretches the body releasing tension from the muscles; it also improves the functioning of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive and hormonal systems. It brings emotional stability and clarity of mind.
Kundalini yoga is working on raising our dormant energy, achieving our creative potential. Kundalini yoga achieves this by working the heart and waking up all of the body (and the bodies systems) via dynamic sequences.
The word yoga means union/yoke to yoke together the mind, body and spirit, Yoga is a moving meditation to bring about awareness between the mind, body and soul. The body is the vehicle with which we travel through life and it needs to be maintained with regular tuning, cleaning and servicing to keep it healthy. The mind is our outlook on life our ‘road map’ it helps us find our direction in life. And the soul/spirit is the fuel/energy feeding the body/vehicle.
Yoga Junky’s™ ethos is about empowerment, not just empowering you as you overcome your body’s limitations but more importantly empowering you as you overcome the limitations of the mind. Yoga is not a religion it is a science, a philosophy of life based very much on the fundaments of metaphysics, and what Yoga Junky™ wants to achieve is to inspire the students to bring awareness that we ALL have the answers to bring about our happiness we have just lost the ability to ‘tap into’ this. We have a lifetime of conditioning and negativity, not only from others but far more damaging from our own self. Yoga offers choices and enables us to change our thought processes (if we choose to) to bring awareness that the secret for success and happiness (the eternal quest from life) is right here within us.
Yoga is magical it heals the mind body and soul, feel empowerment, relieve physical and emotional pain, become re-inspired about life and discover your divine greatness. Come along try Yoga Junky™ and ‘Get Addicted!’...
